Every year we offer Cherry Blossom Mini Sessions at the Japanese Garden in Delaware Park by the Buffalo History Museum. Love doing these sessions and love the cherry blossoms!
The Advantages of Mini Sessions
Mini sessions are perfect shortened and simplified family and portrait sessions that offer a chance to capture your family or yourself for the year. Great for families, couples, or a beautiful solo portrait session. We do multiple groupings including the whole family smiling, walking, laughing, and some of just the kids, just parents, different groupings to give a good variety and make a cohesive set. They’re short sessions and that can be a plus when littles are only on board for a short time and you want to keep things simple.
Scheduling Cherry Blossom Sessions
The cherry blossoms are a wonderful spring time event and great for portraits. They are only around for a couple weeks and don’t last long. Sometimes for as little as a few days. There is also the Buffalo Cherry Blossom Festival to consider when picking a session time as it is very busy at the Japanese Garden during festival weekend and some evenings when they have events.
Cherry Blossom Portraits
The Family Session for the Guarino Family was relaxed and playful. The blossoms came early this year and were starting to fade as the weekend came around. With family commitments, the weekend was the best time for a session so we made it work and picked the most full spot. The kids had a lot of fun and we got lots of great photos of just them too!
